NOTICE OF 2ND POSTPONEMENT

The Electricity Control Board (ECB) hereby regrets to inform you that the Electricity Distribution Industry (EDI) Summit planned for 5-6 November 2008 at the Safari Conference Centre in Windhoek has been postponed until further notice. The new date will be in 2009 and will be communicated to you in due course.

The postponement was necessitated by the need for further consultations between the Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN) and Regional and Local Authorities regarding key policy decisions affecting the implementation of GRN’s Regional Electricity Distributors (REDs) policy.

The ECB and the GRN apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused and ensure you that the postponement is required to ultimately convene a summit that will add the most value to the EDI.
