NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT

The Electricity Control Board (ECB) hereby regrets to inform you that the Electricity Distribution Industry (EDI) Summit planned for 10-11 July 2008 at the Safari Conference Centre in Windhoek has been postponed until further notice. The tentative new date will be either end of August 2008 or the beginning of September 2008. Once the final date is fixed you will be informed accordingly.

The postponement was necessitated by the need for further consultations within the Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN) regarding key policy decisions affecting the implementation of GRN's Regional Electricity Distributors (REDs) policy.

The ECB and the GRN apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused and ensure you that the postponement is required to ultimately convene a summit that will add the most value toe the EDI
